In this two-day course learn essential first aid and CPR skills. (CPR & AED +First Aid)
We meet at Dive World Austin on Wednesday and Thursday evenings at 6 pm to go review materials and practice in-person emergency scenarios.

Note: Make time for homework! Enroll at least one week prior to class. This will allow you adequate time to complete all training materials.

This course is a prerequisite for Rescue Diver and Divemaster.

Training

EFR courses meet the CPR and first aid training requirements for the PADI Rescue Diver course and all professional-level ratings. PADI Rescue Divers and PADI Professionals are required to have CPR and First Aid Training.

Emergency First Response training focuses on building confidence in lay rescuers and increasing their willingness to respond when faced with a medical emergency. Course participants learn simple-to-follow steps for emergency care and practice applying skills in a non-stressful learning environment. All courses are supported by eLearning coursework and videos.

EFR courses are based on internationally recognized medical guidelines for emergency care.

Online training makes it easy to fit a CPR and first aid course into a busy schedule. Watch videos of different first aid techniques and learn what steps to take in an emergency. Study online or offline, using a computer or mobile device. Connect with your instructor if you have questions.

With your instructor

Learn eight essential skills for helping others in an emergency. Get hands-on experience administering CPR using a special manikin, practice bandaging and splinting, and apply your new skills in a role-playing scenario.
